Before downloading Obeo Designer Team, we advise you to read these instructions Getting Started with Obeo Designer Team.

Required configuration  

   User Desktop

The required configuration for a user of Obeo Designer (Community edition or client of Team edition) is :

  • Material configuration:
    • 2 Ghz (x64) processor
    • 2 GB of available system memory
    • 500 Mo of available space on the hard drive for installation
  • Software configuration:
    • Windows, Linux or MacOS
    • Java : JRE 17.0.6 - Note that the same version must be used for both the client and the server as well as the license server.

   Server

The required configuration for the server of Obeo Designer Team is :

  • Material configuration:
    • 2 Ghz 64-bit (x64) processor
    • 4 GB of available system memory
    • 500 Mo of available space on the hard drive for installation
  • Software configuration:
    • Linux x86_64 (recommended)
    • Java : JRE 17.0.6 - Note that the same version must be used for both the client and the server as well as the license server.

Obeo Designer Team requires an integration with the clients' system in order to deploy the server and open the accesses to communication ports.

Wireless connection are also not recommended as any loss of connectivity might lead to instability in the product and loss of data.

Our recommendations regarding the deployment are more precisely described in the product documentation (section « Obeo Designer Team Server deployment recommendations »).

Note for installation on macOS  

Please choose the bundle corresponding to your architecture:

  • If you have an Apple Silicon processor (aarch64),
    • we recommend to use the aarch64 product with an aarch64 JRE.
    • Using the x86_64 product with a x86_64 JRE is still possible but you will encounter slower performances.
  • If you have an Intel processor (x86_64), the x86_64 product with a x86_64 JRE is the only working combination.

As Obeo Designer application is not signed yet, it can be considered as damaged by macOS

Here are three workarounds to install the product on this platform:

  • w1: After unzipping Obeo Designer and before the first launch, move it to another folder
  • w2: Open a terminal in the Folder where you unzipped the application and launch ./ObeoDesigner-Community.app/Contents/MacOS/obeodesigner
  • w3: Remove the quarantine status
    • Open a terminal in the folder containing ObeoDesigner-Community (the .app extension is usually hidden)
    • Execute: xattr -d com.apple.quarantine ObeoDesigner-Community.app
    • Double click the ObeoDesigner-Community
  • Regarding the version of macOS and its configuration you might need one or a combination of the three workarounds.

Obeo Designer Team - 11.8

This bundle includes the client tier, sample evaluation servers (to be launched locally) and a temporary evaluation licence
